2008 SEMEN SHIPPING FEE SCHEDULE

NOTE:  We must be notified by 9pm PST the day before shipment.

FRESH SEMEN - shipped overnight by Federal Express; no airline shipping available.

Fees deducted as incurred from deposit, or charged to credit card; balance of a prepaid deposit refunded upon request / notification of pregnancy after container return to us.

Semen collection, evaluation, extending and packaging, Equitainer rental or provision of disposable, one-way shipper, instructions, return shipping label and FedEx airbill, plus any requested veterinary consultation (freight on client's FedEx account, or at cost on ours)
Also includes outgoing insurance for $600. and return for $300.

International shipping includes commercial invoice preparation  
Note:  Freight is at cost and in addition to the above collection fee. at cost

Ordering service for semen from another stallion - includes telephone calls, faxes, cleaning and labelling container for return, and completion of stallion owner's or breed Registry's paperwork (return freight of Equitainer additional if applicable)

Additional Equitainer rental fee, per day, for Equitainers not returned the next business day (return promptly using provided airbill to avoid)

Credit for use of client Equitainer (on any shipment; allow time to prepare freezer cans) <$15.>

Equitainer return should use our pre-prepared FedEx airbills and pre-arranged insurance.  We are not responsible for return failure if shipped by any other method. 

FROZEN SEMEN - shipped by Federal Express; 3rd day to Priority overnight. Air-Net available.

Semen shipping; includes nitrogen tank rental, straw transfer and nitrogen "charging" of tank, postthaw details, instructions, return (domestic) FedEx airbill and special shipping labels, plus any requested consultation.  (Half price if tank supplied by client).

Freight - FedEx only; Priority/Standard overnight, 2nd or 3rd day economy at cost

Nijhof semen (per dose fee covers packaging upon import into individual doses, and having semen EVA tested by Dr. Timoney in Kentucky)

Insurance - on all shipments; covers tank, semen, and estimated freight; minimum $15. per calculation
Replacement cap or canister - if missing or broken upon return $95.
Ordering service for frozen semen from another stallion (as for fresh semen; plus freight) $18.
Additional daily tank rental for tanks not returned next business day; per day $15.

          NOTE: Tanks not received back within 30 days will be charged full replacement cost, and Client will then no longer be responsible for tank return or for late fees.

Return shipping instructions MUST BE FOLLOWED CAREFULLY and are included with each shipment. UNUSED STRAWS / DOSES RECEIVED THAWED OUT WILL BE CHARGED FOR AS IF USED ON THE MARE!!!

NOTE: Last minute shipping requests, fresh or frozen, will be accommodated if possible.  Any request received by us on the same day of shipment IS a last minute request, and may or may not be shipped until the next possible day, depending upon our workload!  To guarantee shipment, please notify us by 9pm PST the night before. Telephone consultation is available 8am to 9pm during the breeding season, and is free of charge if associated with a semen shipment. Call our office at (530) 529-0703 day or night.  If you anticipate requiring after-hours consultation, please advise us by 9pm so that we may spend the night in the office to await your call.  You may reach an answering machine, but we check messages frequently!   Be sure to verify the name of the sire on the semen package or straw prior to use.  We are not responsible for any possible errors "after the fact"!
